Peachy
452 Victoria Rd, Govanhill, Glasgow G42 8YU
Peachy lives up to its name. Warm, colourful and full of personality, it's one of the more distinctive spaces around Queen's Park. Quirky lampshades hang from the ceiling, the seating is generous, and even the dark green cup feels perfectly chosen for the room. The coffee itself is strong. The espresso is packed with flavour and delivers one of the better balances on the index, blending beautifully with the milk. The texture isn't quite perfect. A few bubbles stop it reaching the silky finish of the very best flat whites, but it's a small complaint in an otherwise excellent cup. The food is worth mentioning too. Generous portions, sensible prices, and exactly the sort of place you'd happily settle into for longer than planned. A confident café with real character and a flat white that gives you plenty of reasons to come back.
