Toro Coffee
1484 Pollokshaws Rd, Shawlands, Glasgow G43 1RN
One of the few Southside cafés open before 9am, and worth the early start. Inside, weathered wood panels, a corrugated green bar, copper overhead, and a yellow neon glowing against bare planks that states 'This Must Be The Place.'
The flat white is consistent and confident. Good weight to the espresso, clean balance throughout, and temperature that lands spot on and holds. The milk texture falls just short, a slight head that stops it integrating fully. A small complaint in an otherwise well-executed cup.
A short walk from Pollok Park. One of the better post-Park Run stops on the Southside.
